Raising/Lowering Hydraulic Style House

Follow along as fishing guide, Brad Hawthorne walks you through the steps to lower your hydraulic wheelhouse to the ice or ground.

Here is the video of Brad walking through the steps laid out below:

Of course, the first step is finding your spot – so we’re going to assume that at this point you’ve found the fish and your ready to drop your house to the ice or you’ve pulled up to a campsite and ready to head out on your next adventure!

  • You will need to push the power of your remote holding it till you see a blinking green light, that ensures that connectivity to the hydro unit inside the house is ready.
  • Once you confirm that the remote is connected, you’ll then want to find the pins that lock it into the frame.
  • There are two, one on each side, they are located above the last wheel on the hydraulic frame.
  • Once you find these you want to use your remote and barely raise your house so it takes the pressure off the pins – allowing you to next – remove the pins!
    • You will need a few clicks on the remote to raise the house enough to release the pins.
  • Remove the pins on both sides of the wheelhouse.
  • Next, you will go up to the tongue and remove the pin from the tongue.
    • Put the three pins aside for safekeeping – we recommend putting them in the ice house to prevent theft.
  • Once you have removed all three pins you are able to drop your Yetti completely to the ice or ground.

When your house is lowered all the way to the ice or ground, you can disconnect the Yetti from your truck or SUV, or you can leave it connected but once the house is lowered you are good to go and ready to drill some holes to fish, or run out and jump in the lake if you’re camping!
