Wheelhouse Tank

Black & Grey Tanks

In this blog, we will go over some key information on your wheelhouse’s black/grey tanks.

Emptying The Tanks

The first important part of this is to ensure your wheelhouse is level, and at least 3 inches off the ground to remove all of the wastewater.

If your Yetti Wheelhouse is equipped with a black/grey tank, they are built into the floor of the bathroom.  You will access the area to drain your tank on the outside of your wheelhouse.

Steps to empty the Grey/Black Tank:

  • To dump the tank the exterior door must be opened first, which will expose the black/grey hose connection.
  • Use the CH751 key and open the door by twisting the key lock.
  • The drain hose is located in the rear of the trailer.
  • Line the tabs up on the hose connection to 3” pipe fitting and twist the hose clockwise to attach.
  • Place the other end securely in your portable tank or into the dump station’s connection.
  • Once that is connected firmly, the termination pull valve can be located underneath the front sofa or may be located elsewhere but will be a specifically marked area.
  • After the tanks are empty you can close the valve and then remove the exterior hoses from the dumping station and house.

Pro Tip

Always make sure before using a sink, shower, or toilet to check the level of the black/grey tank. Overflow and backup could occur which can lead to unsanitary conditions.

Half bath models use one tank for grey and black water.  Tank sizes vary on the model of your Yetti. *See the table below
